NÜM vs on!: Strengths, Flavors and Pouch Count
NÜM nicotine pouches are for adults 21+ who already use nicotine. People searching "on vs zyn" or "on vs velo" are usually comparing three things: milligrams, can size and format. This page lines NÜM up against on! on exactly those, and leaves quality and health judgments out.
NÜM is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by on!. on! is a trademark of its owner and is named here only to identify the product being compared.

Two on! formats, two different comparisons
on! is really two products. The classic on! is a mini, dry pouch in 2mg, 4mg and 8mg, with 20 to a can. on! PLUS, launched in the US in 2026, is a bigger, softer pouch in 6mg, 9mg and 12mg, with 14 to a can.
That matters when you compare cans. on! PLUS has 14 pouches per can, the classic on! has 20, and NÜM has 20 (a 5-can pack is 100 pouches). If how long a can lasts matters to you, count pouches, not cans.
Strength overlap
The two brands only overlap in a narrow band. NÜM 6mg lines up with on! PLUS 6mg, and NÜM 12mg lines up with on! PLUS 12mg. Classic on! tops out at 8mg, and on! PLUS tops out at 12mg, so NÜM's 24mg has no on! equivalent. If you currently use a low-mg classic on!, NÜM's lightest option (6mg) is already above 2mg and 4mg, so choose carefully and start low.
Strength labels can also mislead across formats, because a small dry pouch and a large moist pouch release flavor differently. The strength chart by brand lists every mg figure side by side, and our own strength chart explains NÜM's light, medium and strong labels.
Pouch format: mini dry, soft moist or NÜM
Format is the part a table cannot capture. Classic on! is a mini, dry pouch, which Northerner says is built for adults who prefer a small format. on! PLUS is larger and made from a soft mesh that Northerner describes as moist. NÜM's own pouch dimensions and moisture are not published on numpouches.com, so we do not compare them here. The honest way to judge is to try a can. Whatever you choose, match the mg to your usual intake first and let format and flavor decide the rest.
Flavors
Classic on! is built around Mint, Wintergreen, Citrus, Cinnamon, Berry, Coffee and an unflavored Original. on! PLUS starts smaller with Mint, Wintergreen and a tobacco flavor.
NÜM leans into cool mint and fruit. Cool Mint, Spearmint and Miami Mint make up the Ice Breaker Series, and Pink Lemonade, Frosé and Guava Glow make up the Pink Burst Line. There is no coffee, cinnamon or tobacco-flavored NÜM, so if those are your usual, on! covers ground NÜM does not.
Which should you choose?
- Choose on! if you want a mini dry pouch, a coffee, cinnamon or unflavored option, or a strength at 2mg to 4mg.
- Choose NÜM if you want a cool mint or fruit flavor and a 6mg, 12mg or 24mg option in a 20-pouch can.
