6mg Nicotine Pouches: What 6mg Means and How NÜM 6mg Compares

NÜM nicotine pouches are for adults 21+ who already use nicotine. "6mg" is one of the most searched strengths for nicotine pouches, and it is the lightest strength NÜM makes. Here is what the number means, what else changes how a pouch feels, and which NÜM flavors come in 6mg.

What 6mg means

The mg figure is the amount of nicotine in each pouch, printed on the can. It is a label, not a measure of how intense a pouch will feel, because pouch size, moisture, flavor and your own habits all play a part. Northerner, a large US retailer, makes the same point on its VELO page: how strong a pouch feels varies with your nicotine experience, the flavor and the moisture of the pouch.

NÜM uses three plain labels: 6mg is light, 12mg is medium and 24mg is strong. Choose the one closest to your usual nicotine intake, and if you are not sure, start lower and move up only if you want to. The full breakdown is in our strength chart.

NÜM flavors that come in 6mg

Every NÜM flavor is made in 6mg, 12mg and 24mg. Each can holds 20 pouches, and a 5-can pack holds 100 pouches for $24.99.

  • Cool Mint (Ice Breaker Series): crisp, icy peppermint with a smooth finish.
  • Spearmint (Ice Breaker Series): fresh, naturally sweet spearmint, softer than peppermint.
  • Miami Mint (Ice Breaker Series): cool mint with a hint of tropical fruit.
  • Pink Lemonade (Pink Burst Line): tart lemon with a soft berry finish, restocking.
  • Frosé (Pink Burst Line): chilled strawberry and rosé-style fruit notes, restocking.
  • Guava Glow (Pink Burst Line): ripe pink guava with a gentle tang, restocking.

Pick the variant labeled 6mg on each product page. The NÜM Flavor Guide compares all six if you are choosing between mint and fruit. Coming from another 6mg brand? See NÜM vs ZYN or NÜM vs Rogue.

6mg compared with 3mg, 9mg and 12mg

Different brands slice the range differently. ZYN, VELO Plus, Rogue and on! PLUS all make a 6mg, which makes 6mg the most widely shared strength in the category. Below it, ZYN, VELO Plus and Rogue sell 3mg and classic on! sells 2mg and 4mg. Above it, VELO Plus and ZYN Ultra reach 9mg, and 12mg appears in Lucy, VELO Max, on! PLUS and NÜM.

Lucy does not sell 6mg: its steps are 4mg, 8mg and 12mg. If you normally use 4mg or 8mg, NÜM's 6mg falls between them. For the step up, see 12mg nicotine pouches, and for the top of our range see 24mg nicotine pouches. The strength chart by brand lists every brand.

Choosing your NÜM 6mg flavor

If you want something clean and bright, start with Cool Mint. If you find peppermint sharp, Spearmint is the gentler mint. If you like mint with a little personality, try Miami Mint. Fruit fans can look at the Pink Burst Line, which is restocking now, so check the product pages for availability.

Frequently asked questions

Is 6mg a strong nicotine pouch?

NÜM labels 6mg as its light strength, with 12mg as medium and 24mg as strong. How strong a pouch feels also depends on pouch size, moisture and flavor, so the mg figure is a guide rather than a guarantee.

Which NÜM flavors come in 6mg?

All six: Cool Mint, Spearmint, Miami Mint, Pink Lemonade, Frosé and Guava Glow. The Pink Burst Line flavors are restocking, so check each product page.

What is the difference between 6mg and 12mg?

12mg has twice the nicotine of 6mg per pouch. NÜM calls 6mg light and 12mg medium. Choose the strength closest to your usual intake and start lower if you are unsure.

How many pouches are in a NÜM 6mg can?

Each can holds 20 pouches. NÜM is sold as a 5-can pack, which is 100 pouches, for $24.99.

Do other brands make a 6mg pouch?

Yes. ZYN, VELO Plus, Rogue and on! PLUS all list a 6mg option. Lucy does not: its strengths are 4mg, 8mg and 12mg.

For adults 21+ only. NÜM nicotine pouches are for adults who already use nicotine.
