NÜM vs VELO: Strengths, Flavors and Pouch Count
NÜM nicotine pouches are for adults 21+ who already use nicotine. If you are weighing NÜM against VELO, this page sticks to things you can check: nicotine per pouch in milligrams, pouches per can, flavors and pouch format. It makes no health or quality claims about either brand.
NÜM is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by VELO. VELO is a trademark of its owner and is named here only to identify the product being compared.

Strength: where the numbers line up
Milligrams per pouch are the one number printed on every can, so they are the fairest place to start. NÜM's 6mg sits level with VELO Plus 6mg. NÜM's 12mg matches the top VELO Max strength, which VELO sells in two mint flavors (Cool Mint and Wintergreen, per Northerner's listing). NÜM's 24mg is higher than any VELO strength sold in the US.
Milligrams do not tell you how a pouch feels. Pouch size, moisture and flavor all change the experience, and Northerner notes that moist pouches may feel stronger at first. So treat the mg figure as a starting point, not a verdict. NÜM labels 6mg as light, 12mg as medium and 24mg as strong, and the strength chart explains how to pick the one that matches your usual nicotine intake. If you are not sure, start lower.
Flavors: VELO has range, NÜM keeps it short
VELO Plus lists eleven styles, from Spearmint, Wintergreen and Peppermint to Wild Berry, Dragon Fruit, Tropical Heat and Cappuccino. That is a big menu if you like to try something new each week.
NÜM goes the other way: two small lines, six flavors. The Ice Breaker Series (blue cans) is three mints: Cool Mint (crisp, icy peppermint), Spearmint (softer, sweeter mint) and Miami Mint (cool mint with a tropical twist). The Pink Burst Line (pink cans) is Pink Lemonade, Frosé and Guava Glow, currently restocking. The NÜM Flavor Guide puts all six side by side. If mint is what you reach for, the best mint nicotine pouches page walks through how to choose between the three.
Can count and format
Both brands put 20 pouches in a can, so the can-for-can comparison is simple. NÜM is sold as a 5-can pack, which is 100 pouches, and ships by UPS within one business day.
VELO describes its Plus can as large with a child-resistant lid and a disposal compartment, and Northerner describes VELO Plus as a slightly larger slim, moist pouch. Check the NÜM product pages and your can for NÜM's packaging details, since this page only states what the site already confirms.
Which should you choose?
- Choose VELO if you want a large flavor menu or a strength in the 3mg to 9mg band that NÜM does not make.
- Choose NÜM if you want a short, mint-led range and a choice of 6mg, 12mg or 24mg, including a higher strength than VELO's US lineup.
